The Addiction Research and Treatment Services (ARTS) is a clinical program in the Division of Addiction Science, Prevention and Treatment in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Colorado, School of Medicine with an annual budget of approximately $12 million. ARTS programs provide treatment to approximately 2,500 clients in both residential and outpatient clinics located throughout the Denver Metropolitan Area with a staff of approximately 135.
The ARTS Manager of Fiscal and Administrative Services is a senior level multifaceted management position, primarily fiscal, reporting to the ARTS Executive Director, and to the Division of Addiction Science, Prevention and Treatment Division Administrator and is also responsible for the management and oversight of the day-to-day functions of the ARTS Administration team.
Key Responsibilities:
- To ensure ARTS programs are fiscally sound and adhere to University of Colorado Policies and Procedures. Develop financial organizational strategies by contributing financial and accounting information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic planning, establishing functional objectives in line with organizational and departmental objectives.
- Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities for ARTS including organizational revenue, expense, and balance sheet transactions; monitoring of banking activity; development and monitoring of organizational and contract/grant budgets; and fiscal reporting to funding agencies, including performance-based and cost-rate analysis.
- Oversee the management of ARTS resources and activities within the University system including Fiscal & Budget management, Human Resource management, Procurement of Goods and Services, and Asset & Facility management, and Grants & Contracts administration.
- Responsible for oversight of personnel, providing advice and counsel to hiring managers, counsel employees and supervisors regarding employee relations issues and follow through with disciplinary actions when appropriate, arrange training when needed, and review the work and performance needs of direct reports.
