As a Peer Specialist, you’ll use your lived experience with addiction to provide meaningful support, guidance, and hope to people in treatment and in recovery. You’ll help connect patients to prevention, treatment, and follow-up services while being a part of a dynamic and compassionate team.
What You’ll Do:
Use your lived experience with addiction to support and guide others
Provide peer support to people in treatment or sober living
Conduct outreach with community organizations, staff, and partner agencies
Assist clients in navigating resources such as treatment, housing, and employment
Teach self-advocacy and help clients set achievable goals
Act as a peer role model and source of encouragement
